About Us

Films About Artists is a documentary production duo based in Seattle, serving the local creative community with compelling storytelling and cutting-edge visuals.

Co-founded by Tatyana Kurepina and Anthony Monzon, the duo focuses on documenting the work of artists, galleries, and organizations authentically and thoughtfully.

Tatyana believes in the power of sharing stories, a tradition deeply rooted in the artistic process through the use of color, line, gesture, composition, and symbolism. She emphasizes that art and storytelling are integral in helping us understand the world and question our place within it, especially highlighted during the hardships of the Covid-19 pandemic when many sought inspiration and escape through art.

Anthony, an Emmy-winning journalist with extensive experience covering significant events for major networks like CBS News & Stations and NBCUniversal/Telemundo, brings a rich storytelling tradition from his Cuban-American upbringing and a strong journalistic background from Emerson College.

Together, they aim to connect viewers with the local art community, highlighting the vital role art can play in society through documentary film production.
